How did we get our start?

1. It all began with a simple idea: a mesh filter designed as a straw to fight guinea worm disease. In 1994, LifeStraw partnered with The Carter Center to design a simple mesh filter to remove Guinea worm larvae from drinking water. Since then we have designed water filtration for outdoors and home.
